Question Anyone walking the mile a day Dr. S suggests?

I've read from Pounds and Inches that Dr. S recommends walking for an hour a day... Is anyone doing this or doing other gentle exercising on the plan in P2 or did anyone have success doing it?

I don't think that's from P&I. He mentions tennis, swimming, running, golf and horseback riding.

I didn't walk much in my first couple rounds since I was ill at the time and had trouble standing up. In my last round, I walked every day. Dr. S encourages exercise.

I walk about 30 minutes a day but want to bump it up to an hour. so far im doing 30 min before work and plan to start 30 min after work. i dont notice any problems doing that and feel good because I know i cant do much other exercise that i would want to do like weight lifting.

During R1 I walked 30 minutes a day and did Pilates Reformer classes 3x a week. I'm going to continue doing the same during R2. People say losses are slower. I don't know the reality.

The first round i did not exercise. The second round I walked 30min-1hr per day and I lost twice as fast as round one...that says someting since I was only 15 pounds to goal my second round and lost even faster than round 1! I did easy walking, no speed walking...just put on my sneakers and walked downtown everyday to get a starbucks iced tea then walked home

He never recommended walking a mile a day. All he says about exercise is this:

We encourage swimming and sun bathing during treatment, but it should be remembered that a severe sunburn always produces a temporary rise in weight, evidently due to water retention. The same may be seen when a patient gets a common cold during treatment. Finally, the weight can temporarily increase - paradoxical though this may sound - after an exceptional physical exertion of long duration leading to a feeling of exhaustion. A game of tennis, a vigorous swim, a run, a ride on horseback or a round of golf do not have this effect; but a long trek, a day of skiing, rowing or cycling or dancing into the small hours usually result in a gain of weight on the following day, unless the patient is in perfect training. In patients coming from abroad, where they always use their cars, we often see this effect after a strenuous day of shopping on foot, sightseeing and visits to galleries and museums. Though the extra muscular effort involved does consume some additional calories, this appears to be offset by the retention of water which the tired circulation cannot at once eliminate.

I read that when eating a calorie restricted diet, a 30 minute or so walk a day keeps your metabolism up and can offset any slowing that is common. I always have done it. It really has helped me to lose faster. And while it may not be neccessary while on this diet, it helps me to feel better. I feel like I am doing something extra and that's pretty motivating. Also, I love it because it helps my back pain. And finally, I can usually convince my husband to go with me and I like the time that we spend together while walking. Anyhow, I always try to do it. But I guess as Grammy stated, it's not required and so don't feel bad if you don't do it.

Yes if you enjoy it, by all means, do it! It's just not on the required list.

I'm doing exactly mile every day for several years now. I noticed it was harder last night that I'm almost one week into hcg and lost over 7lbs.

During my workday, I walk ~2 1/2 miles a day anyway (per my FitBit). I've been doing vinyasa flow hot yoga 3x a week for a couple weeks now and not had any issues other than needing to make sure I get enough electrolytes in my system for the sweaty yoga sessions. Now that I'm not as round in the tummy, I can actually get into some of the poses.

My first round I did at a Dr. office. They recommended walking an hour a day. They said it was more beneficial to do it 3x for 20 minutes. Boosts your metabolism 3x in a day instead of just once.
Hi everyone. I'm new here but not new to hcg. Please feel free to send me a message and say hi. I love to talk to people and share success stories! I'm hear to learn and encourage people! I've lost 30 pounds and I'm currently using Homeopathic Hcg. This has changed my life.

    3 days a week

I walk the beach that long about 3-4 days a week. I walk quickly on the firm sand to my goal point and then trudge back through the really soft sand on the way back. Good workout!
