Is Aveeno Lotion ok to use while on P2? Does anyone else use it?

I know a couple of people that have been using Aveeno without any gain. I bought the store brand and my hands are no longer suffering! We will see what the scale brings tomorrow....but I just started TOM, so who knows! I dont think the aveeno would make me gain. There are no digestable oils.

Hey guys! Not trying to get shot at, but I just dont understand the lotion "ban" in the protocol. I'm on vlcd12 and have used the same lotions, shaving cream, lip balms, etc as I always have and it has had absolutley no effect on my loss. If you stick to the diet 100%, you probably dont have much to worry about. I mean... absorbing fat through the skin that your body then motabolizes as food? That just seems far fetched to me.

I was gonna buy the pink baby lotion! I love that stuff, but someone told me that the Aveeno is better so I picked up the store brand. My hands were about to crumble off, so I needed something!

I would love to know how the Aveeno works out, good luck! My poor hands, it's awful! I'm in Florida, I can only imagine how much harder it is on all of you in the really cold weather! I use the Alba oil-free face cream and I have just been rubbing that on my hands. Its just a quick fix, they only feel better for about 10 minutes.

ncsunacho--you say it doesn't affect your losses, but how do you know that your losses wouldn't have been MORE if you hadn't used them? I'm just saying. There's a section in P & I about this.

When no dietary error is elicited we turn to cosmetics. Most women find it hard to believe that fats, oils, creams and ointments applied to the skin are absorbed and interfere with weight reduction by HCG just as if they had been eaten. This almost incredible sensitivity to even such very minor increases in nutritional intake is a peculiar feature of the HCG method. For instance, we find that persons who habitually handle organic fats, such as workers in beauty parlors, masseurs, butchers, etc. never show what we consider a satisfactory loss of weight unless they can avoid fat coming into contact with their skin.

Today I was down another .6lbs, and that's even with TOM at it's heaviest! So I do not think the Aveeno lotion effected my weight loss

I found a "moisturizer" that is as best I can tell protocol "safe" - its call Na-PCA I purchased mine on vitacost.com. I'm loading this weekend but wanted to try before and have absolutely fallen in love with this stuff. It's a spray, not a lotion or cream. For my skin to feel this good in the middle of a Colorado winter is amazing!! I fully plan on using this long after I'm done with HCG. It is great for the body but difficult to get the full affect on the hands so still looking for another alternative for my hands. Will let you know if I find something.

I am brand new to all of this, matter of fact ordering today....I am at a loss. I had the diet protocol at my finger tips but have lost it. I had no clue about lotions, toothpastes, etc. Is there somewhere or a link that could be provided that can give me a clue! Thanks in advance
