  • Peanut butter!!!

    Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a peanut butter without sugar? All the brands I have seen have sugar of some sort...and I really, really want some soon. Thanks!

Thanks Laura! I will look for it, or ask hubby to bring it in from the States the next time he travels, what is common for you guys up there is "specialty" stuff here and not always available! Make my own....hmmmm....I might blow up the kitchen...lol!

Archer Farms, found at Target (though the peanut butter is not at every Target) has a really good no-stir, no sugar natural peanut butter. It's really good. They have in Charlotte, NC but I haven't been able to find it at my Target in Louisville. You could try looking, though. I like it that it isn't greasy like so many of the natural brands.

I would be careful with peanut butter in P3...as peanuts are technically not a nut they tend to be starchy

lol it appears I opened up some cravings here.....sorry guys!
Yes I will be VERY careful with it, just a spoonful is all I need or want at this point. I'm craving it more than my arch nemesis, ice cream! (??)
Nope, not in the States but I can look for it in our local specialty stores and pay a pound and a crown for it....shipping it will cost a fortune too. Probably will wait till someone I know makes a trip and can pick up a bottle for me. Thanks for the answers, peeps

I get mine at Trader Joe's, but I'm guessing you don't have a Trader Joe's where you're at! I've had *lots* of peanut butter in p3 so far. In fact, I had two huge spoonfuls last night! So, my vote would be to try it in p3, but proceed with caution, just in case it doesn't love you as much as it loves me.

ETA: The Trader Joe's PB is just peanuts - all natural, no added garbage. I wouldn't try it with anything but an all-natural peanut butter!

Glad it works for you Annabelle....but know it's a legume instead of a nut. So if you start to see stabilizing issues you probably should cut it out.

Yeah, I know I have to be careful with it, but my last VLCD was two weeks ago today, and I'm down 7 pounds from my LIW (two weeks and three days ago), so I'm not stressing it! I can't do dairy or eggs thanks to food allergies, so I personally think being able to have peanut butter is God's way of making it up to me!
