I used to travel alot and lived abroad. In other countries where I had to walk alot to get to work and go out I was at a normal weight. Since being back in the states and living a more sedentary lifestyle surrounded by easy tempting food I now need a big change.

It's the 20th day of this round. In total I've lost 24-26 lbs so far (depending on the scale. I'm down to 186.5 as of this morning (but it might be 184.5-- having 2 different scales is making me crazy). I'm feeling very motivated. My fiance is talking about calling off the wedding. It's kind of unbelievable because its a month away and everything has been paid for. I'm glad I'm on the diet when this happened because I'd be tempted to eat to try to feel better. I'm in the 180s! It's always exciting when you enter into a new 10 on the scale. It was exciting when the 200s were gone, then I was in the 190s. When it becomes in the 170s then I'll know I'm really getting close.

I was happy to lose a pound today. The scale had been stuck for a few days. I walked for 2 miles and ate a salad with salsa and a little cottage cheese and some unsweetened applesauce. I know I should have had my other protein serving but I think I ate too much protein

Starting Again

I kept regaining the weight because I couldn't complete the maintenance phase. I always did this diet before an event-- my sister's wedding, a cruise and now for my wedding. Overall I'm 30lbs lower than where I started but considering this is round 3 or so I should be lower. Life lessons. This time also I won't be able to do maintenance. I'm going to enjoy my wedding. Phase 3 Sucks!

I decided not to do a steak day today. I woke up starving and I knew I was not going to be able to not eat all day until dinner. It also just seems gimmicky to me too. Why is it that eating healthy and working out makes me gain? It can't be fat that I'm gaining. That just doesn't make sense. I read that when you first start exercising and weight training your weight can be affected by water retention and swelling by up to 10lbs. I'm in the stabilization phase but I just can't stabilize. I've been so good. No cheating, eating around 1500 calories, working out but I've gained 2 lbs every day for the last 3 days. I should have done a steak day but I didn't understand what that was and if I gain again tomorrow I'll do it then. I don't know what the problem is.
