Hi Jeanette, mind my asking where you order your patches from? I think I used them once years ago, and I didn't mind them at all. I really think after the first of the year I wouldn't mind doing a round of the hhcg and not the injections. I'm curious to see if the weight is lost from different areas from homeopathic than from rx hcg. Do you think the patches work as well with cravings as anything else? I agree with you, if you keep your weight within the 2 lb window as Dr Simeons suggest,
Karen, some sweets:
1. Roasted vegetables. No don’t frown at me. Roasting peppers onions green beans asparagus etc. at over 400° in the oven, or charring them in a skillet brings out the sugar in them. It doesn’t add sugar, it just makes them taste very sweet. Combined with a good protein with your meal, they are a way to have something sweet.
2. More on a treat or dessert side, outshine fruit Popsicles make no sugar added ones, much fruit juice in them but only 25 cal and 2 g I’ve
Yes, I've always had to order it online. I don't think I've ever seen it on the shelf. (Do not buy NuNaturals--it is coarse, dark and tastes like cardboard.)
You can use oat fiber to temper the dense calories you get in almond flour baked goods as well. Usually you can replace up to half the almond flour called for, depending on the recipe. But even replacing a quarter lightens things up significantly.
Yes, kinda quiet around here. Must be summer-time!
I wanted to share a variation of Pearly's Artichoke Dip/Casserole... Full disclosure, my friend gave me this recipe, and yes, I've been known to eat it with a spoon. Also goes great with Plantain chips!
1 can Artichoke Hearts, diced (the soup sized can)
1 can Water Chestnuts, diced (the tuna sized can)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese,
Talking about artichokes made me want to make some tonight but when I finally found my jar of mayo in the back if the fridge…it was best by December 2020. Ugh. Smelled ok but open for 6 months? Maybe not a good idea!
It’s really a dip, but it is so good, eat it w a spoon!
Hot Artichoke (Dip) or Casserole
(I make a half recipe of this for just me, which lasts days in the fridge, and you can heat up servings in the microwave.)
