Haha! Sweet potatoes sound yummy! I don't eat chicken because I'm a vegetarian. I did go on a bit of a carb binge with the whole flu thing... I ate some tortillas and had soup made from a roux (a butter and flour sauce) and such. I don't think one or two days of eating carb-y stuff will kill me in the long run. I work out regularly and eat really healthy. If I notice a gain, then I'll just do an egg day or two. Thankfully, I'll be back in the states this June. I like it here, but I am ready for the comforts of home.

Hey girl! Hope all is going well for ya! My P4 has been going awesome, but I ran into a SNAFU this week. I have "gastroentitis." I don't know what that means in English, but I have a sort of stomach flu as the result of some bad bacteria. I've been feeling awful for the past week, so the doctor gave me some pills and told me not to eat veggies, meats, or dairy for the next few days. She said to eat soft foods, soups, pastas, and CARBS. I was horrified, but I felt so sick that crackers were the only thing that sounded edible to me anyways. I've been eating in moderation and plan to return to my virtually carb/gluten free world once my stomach returns to normal.

    Good Morning,
Thank you! You've been a huge help .... BIG sigh. Ya know I haven't gotten very adventurous in P3. So far I've been pretty happy being able to mix veggies, and have eggs (well ... this week, so far so good) When are you starting RD3? No joke ... I'm starting RD2 on APRIL 1st! Have a wonderful weekend.

    Hi Feisty,
I see your doing great with this, you're an insiration. I posted a question earlier somewhere about stabilizing. Then saw your answer in a poll & want to get your take on it. I have 115 to lose, this is my first round, in P3. Dropped 4 more lbs after my last day of drops. Soooo I'm using that weight to go by. I've been up and down, up & down 3 lbs. but nothing a high protein day doesn't fix. Because I'm doing more rounds & I know how crazy hard it is to give up sugar & starch once they're in me, I'm not going to reintroduce either of them in P4. Here's the question ... what is stabilized??????? Are the little fluctuations okay?????? How long did you wait to start your second round. (Hahaha ... I feel like the National Inquirer ... inquiring minds want to know)

Ooooh! Didn't even realize there were carbs in tahini! I have been eating it every morning. Guess that's why I have gone up a pound today. An yeah, thinking of doing another round in fall of 2011 when I am back in the states, but I only wanna lose about 10 more lbs.

Feisty - Thanks for checking in! I had a 6-day break because my hCG ran out (I shared with friends) and was waiting for my new shipment. Lesson learned! After 5-days back on protocol I am back down to the weight I was when the break started. I was telling my friend (here in town, too) OTMOM that we are going to have to devise an exit strategy into P3...because now I know (in my head and heart) that if we don't, we will definitely gain it back! Didn't help that we are Girl Scout troop leaders and the cookies came in...

No hCG + Samoas = 5 poinds in 4 days!

Hope everything is going well with you?

How you doing? Is P4 treating you well? I'm also in P4 but haven't added anything new except Tahini. And cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. Hehehe. Or as we say here in Honduras, jajajaj.

2 - Eat 3 meals a day. Allow 5-6 hours between meals. NO SNACKING!

Oh a little lesson on keeping the kiddo's safe.

by Feisty on February 13th, 2011 at 03:48 AM
Just want to take a sec and say for those of you with small young ones... Friday while I was at work DS and daddy were outside playing. DS wanted an ice cicle sword and daddy wasn't quick enough so he helped himself. A HUGE chunk of ice fell on him as he pulled the 'sword' off the eaves. He has one hell of a shiner and bruises and cuts on his forhead, his cheek, and scariest of all, the worst of the abrasions are on his upper and lower eyelid. We are so fortunate he managed to get that eye closed

by Feisty on February 9th, 2011 at 08:35 AM
Well it's snowing out..... More snow than I've EVER seen in Arkansas and I've been living here off and on since 95. Still coming down in buckets. So....... What am I doing?
COOKING!!!!
I have the prettiest pot of chicken soup going. Took My bag of chicken loins and put the ones that looked either too big or too small for P2 and threw them in the pot with nice big pieces of celery, onion, and red radishes...I'll shave a little carrot in there when I'ts almost done to get a little
