Back in 2011, when I first got on hcg we were living in the Houston, TX area preparing both for a move north (Dallas area) and for our oldest daughter's wedding. AND my mother-in-law moved in with us so she was my full-time job for a few years. Lots of stresses but I really wanted to lose weight for the wedding. After moving in Oct 2011 I still had my MIL and almost immediately jumped into planning my younger daughter's wedding. Once her wedding was over in Nov 2012 I pretty much quit dieting. Between having had a hysterectomy (in '07) and a medication the seemed to cause weight gain, I gained most of what I lost back and then added a few more to that. I've tried lots of other diets but hcg seems to be the only thing that works for me. I'm hoping it will be easier now. No moving, no weddings and MIL is now in a nursing home. It's all about me and my health this time. How about you? ~Jane C

Hi, I'm answering your post in the spreadsheet page. Sure, I'd love to keep in touch. I loaded on Sun/Mon and started P2 yesterday. It's weird getting back into the swing of things. I do the drops (don't think I would want to do injections). Geesh, my post is 162 characters too long. I'm going to split it into two messages. ~Jane C

About ForME4Once

I started today, and it's easy to feel confident in the start, before it becomes hard. I will really be needing some support in the coming days, though.

A summary of my story: from 2009-2012, I was able to lose and keep off about 40 lbs with hCG. I went back to school in '12, and regained all I lost, plus about 35 lbs! My school experience was traumatic.

My last round was this past April, and I lost about 15 lbs. I got into P3 and regained it all due to my own fault and addiction.

I contacted Overeaters Anonymous, but was not able to get connected with anyone to set me up as a newcomer. So, I'm back to what I know- hCG.

Ultimately, my goal is to get back to where I was when I started that awful school program, which was 160 lbs., by my birthday at the end of November. That means, I have about 75 lbs to lose in 5 months. I think I can do it if I stay accountable, and stick to the plan without liberties. Also, I will need support, that is why I joined this site.

Why is losing the weight so important to me now, and what makes this time different? Firstly, like I said, that school program was an ugly experience for me. I am still bitter about what I went through, and it didn't even result in that "good" job, either. I feel like it didn't just take two years of my life, and thousands of dollars, but it took my health, and in many ways my self-esteem.

Losing the weight I gained during that time would mean that I took back my pride in myself, and that that place and those people didn't win. They didn't get the best of me. I can then look in the mirror and not be reminded of my failures, like I am now.

Next, as my name says, I need to lose the weight FOR ME. Every time I have successfully shed weight in the past, it was somehow linked to wanting approval from another person. I sought approval from my abusive parents and siblings who thought my being fat made THEM look bad. I sought the attention of men and that last time, in 2009, it was all about wanting to teach a lesson to the man who had broken my heart.

Well, he did eat his heart out when he saw me after I lost the weight, but obviously, that wasn't enough a reason or the right reason to lose weight, and I'm sure that's part of why I couldn't keep it off.

So, this time, I have to do this FOR ME. Not for my shallow jerk relatives, not because I want some man to want me... JUST FOR ME.

I think if I can pull this off, and lose the weight, and get back to the weight I was in 2011-2012, I will know a self-respect I have never known before, and who knows? Maybe that will be enough for me to keep it off this time.

But, FIRST, I have to get through this first week. And this time, I am doing it a little differently. I'm vegetarian. This is my first hCG round as a vegetarian. If anyone has some tips or experiences to share on doing hCG as a vegetarian, that would be great! I do know it can cause the losses to be a touch slower due to having to replace the meat with cottage cheese or the likes, but I am as committed to not eating meat as I am to doing this diet RIGHT this time.

I hope I can do it!

Thank you for reading this. :)
