I just bought Primal Blueprint which looks more forgiving. How has your experience been? Are you still following the Paleo plan? Do you use it for P3 & 4? Are you in maintenance now? Hi Jan! Thanks for contacting me. Yes... coconut flour and almond flour are OK for normal P3 foods. Ya gotta make sure the almonds do not bother you though. Some people have problems with them. As far as Leptin Reset goes I say no to almonds... mainly because of the high omega 6 content. One goal of LR is to balance Omega3/6 fatty acids. Also...I bet if you get enough protein during BAB you will not be hungry during the day. Something else that might be useful for you if you are planing a Leptin Reset... Dr K has some exercise recommendations, generally is really low impact during that. BUT... with testing you might find that you are Leptin Sensitive, then HIIT is recommended (I can't wait for that!) As far as carbs... I am at <50g per day, so starchy veggies are not in my diet at all. I am basically on lower carb P3 veggys... they are working good for me. BUT if you are doing some higher impact exercise you will want to amp up the carbs a little.
