I did a search on this forum and came up with the following recipes for sausage . I may try making it myself without the msg...

    JIMMY DEAN SAUSAGE RECIPES
    Sage
    16 ounces ground pork
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
    1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1/4 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon MSG (such as Accent flavor enhancer)
    Hot
    16 ounces ground pork
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1/4 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon MSG (such as Accent)
    Maple
    16 ounces ground pork
    3 tablespoons maple flavored syrup
    1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon MSG (such as Accent)
    1/4 teaspoon coriander
Combine all ingredients for the flavor of your choice in a medium bowl. Form the sausage into patties and cook in a skillet over medium heat until brown and cooked through.
    Makes 1 pound of sausage.

The JD Hearty Sausage Crumbles lists no sugar but does in the ingredients list. The JD Turkey Sausage Crumbles has 1 sugar listed and also it lists sugar in the ingredients. Thanks for pointing that out. I looked only at one of them when I picked them up. It isn't quite as critical for him since he's not on HCG but he is supposed to be off sugar these two weeks on his SB diet. And of course, he's losing very well while I have been stalled! I'm still on P2 and trying to find recipes that will suit both of us when I get to P3. I think I will ask Beth M since I believe it was her blog that I saw Jimmy Dean listed as what she was using. I could always make it an egg, steak n cheese muffin for myself and forgo the sausage until P4 and then try it.

    Hi Jeff,

Here is the link to the Egg Muffins. I used Jimmy Dean crumbled turkey sausage, green pepper, green onion, and part skim mozarella with salt and pepper and made them in aluminum tins sprayed with olive oil. You can put just about anything you want in it. I used up the egg yolks from making oopsie rolls and had a little egg whites left in a carton in the fridge I mixed with them. I adapt the South Beach for P3 as I am a heart attack survivor. These can be frozen then zapped in a microwave for 1-1/2 minutes.

It is going painfully slow for me - averaging around a pound per day. But I've been cheating quite a bit. Not a whole lot, but little bits here and there. Maybe it's not taking all my drops one day, or falling into the temptation of someone bringing in bagels or pizza to work... It ain't easy.

I hope to get to 200 by April 30th. That's my goal, and I have 30 days to get there.

You seem to be doing quite well. By now, I presume that you have fallen into a very nice rhythm.

You are doing amazingly well... you are definitely the new HCG Poster boy! These next 9 days will fly by... then the new adventure of P3 begins!

    Hi Jeff...

I am doing better and better... will be going back to work tomorrow. Hopefully that goes well.

How are things going for you?

Well, that's good to hear! My phase three ran close to 2,000 calories a day. It is VERY hard to get calories without sugars and starches. I fell in love with Hardee's (or Carl Jr's) Low Carb Thickburger. Mmmm!

I really let it slide in a fairly short phase IV. I started gaining weight fast when I started reintroducing things like pizza and candy.

Phase III seems to be a lifer for me. Which stinks, 'cause I love rice. I'll just experiement a bit better next time around.

    Hey there Jeff,

You are doing AWESOME! So... How are you feeling? Powerful or Weak? Tired or Energetic? Motivated or done with it?

I think we know the answers, but I'd love to hear some of how it's all been going for you.
