- I am 52 and a Mom of 3, stepmom of 6 and grandma to 1..so far.
I have always had weight issues ever since the age of 7...and unfortunately I passed this on to my 3 kids. I have been married a few times :) but finally found my soulmate. When we got married in 2007 I weighed 285. I had a LapBand in 2008 and lost 60 pounds. Couldn't go any lower but could definitely go higher..which I have over the years.

My girlfriends and I had our annual slumber party. (a bunch of middle aged "girls' even one great-grandma) We do this every Memorial Weekend. The friend who hosts it is a phenominal cook...she makes awesome desserts. I allowed myself a small piece of each thing plus 1 chocolate martini. Yesterday I drank lots of water and made sure to take my probiotics and magnesium. It was so fun to not go overboard and the best part...to maintain! I am maintaining my weight. Lost a total of 28 inches so far. I was concerned that my weight might go up after this past Saturday. We had our annual food drive for the Letter Carriers. I picked up so much food! Especially canned food. Customers on my route are super generous. I was having to "shotput" the bags of food into the Postal Vehicle. I picked up 3 truckloads...so I figured with all that "weight lifting" I might be up..but instead I dropped 3 pounds. I am back up

I measured as well and have dropped 3 more inches in the past week. That's a total of 26.5 inches gone since March 26th! I tried doing some yoga but strained some muscles on my side or bruised a rib...so maybe should just do some walking and deep breathing exercises for now. This is such a miracle to me, not only to lose 27 pounds but to keep it off...my plan is to stay on Phase 3 until we go on a little trip to celebrate my hubby's 50th birthday next month... FUN! Then to start another round!
