I gained around fifty pounds when I turned 40. I was too busy with a full time job and three busy teenagers to do anything about it. When I turned 47 and the kids were grown, I started working out and dieting. It took me being very diligent with weightlifting, cardio and low carb dieting, about three years, to lose thirty pounds. I haven't been able to lose anymore since. My hormone doctor started offering HCG for weight loss so I started researching it. She had done it herself so I felt confident in giving it a try. It has been the only thing that has worked. I turn 53 in April 2014 and my birthday present to myself is weighing what I weighed when I graduated from high school, got married, and became pregnant with each of my three kids. It's been years. My youngest is now 24 and he was 12 the last time I was even close to this weight. This truly is a gift not to be taken for granted.
