Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and HCG. Myself, my boyfriend, and my friend are all starting together on Jan. 1. I ordered the HCG from All Day Chemist yesterday and am SO excited to start! I'd start right now if I had it in hand, but I suppose that after the holidays makes more sense!
We are all planning on doing the sublingual type. I have been lurking around for a few days gathering information here (thank goodness for this awesome site!) and as far as I can tell, there is no difference between the shots and under the tongue as long as they are measured correctly and for the drops no food 15 min. before or after. Is that correct?

I have experience with low calorie dieting as I lost 85 lbs on Medifast from July 2009 - March 2010. The standard diet is between 800 - 1000 calories a day and consists of 5 100 calorie packets of food and one "lean and green meal" (lean meat 7 oz and 1 1/2 cups veggies). The problem with this diet was that once I came off it, I immediately gained the weight back at the same rate I lost it- about 10 lbs a month. It about killed me to see all my hard work and all my beautiful new clothes get farther and farther away. And no matter what I did, the gain did not stop. I tried going back on, low carb, working out 7 days a week, well you get the picture. It turns out that the Medifast diet killed my thyroid. I finally figured it out in August of this year when I came across a chapter in a coconut oil book about lower than normal body temp and thyroid issues.

I'm now on Armour Thyroid and that seems to have stopped most of the insane weight gain, but I find myself right back up to where I started with the memory of feeling good about myself and the way I look just that- a memory! I don't know if I've had thyroid issues for many years and never realized it, but it seems likely as I have been struggling with my weight since my early 20's and I am now 39. I was also always cold all the time. This doesn't happen now that I am on the medication, but the weight has not come back off with the medication either.

I am hoping that the HCG diet will help me to reset the metabolism which at the moment will gain weight if I eat more than 1200 calories a day. I don't expect to have any problems with the strict regimen- I actually like strict, exact diets because they leave no room for error and for me that is easy to follow and there is no room for "just a bite of this and just a bit of that" and next thing you know, I'm off my plan!

I am terrified that P3 and P4 will not work for me and the weight will creep up again, but I am hoping that with the thyroid medication and the metabolism reset, my body will let the weight stay off finally!

Psych! I didn't realize that there was a blog on this site. Great, I love blogging!

Well, let's start at where I started. 269.6 on January 1, 2012. It's the exact same weight I was at when I started Medifast in June of 2009. Down to the ounce!

Today is VLCD 35 for me and I'm down 28.8 lbs. It took me 3 months on Medifast to lose that much weight! WOW! The trick is, of course, to keep it off until the next round.

That being said, I can't wait to get to
