Nov 21,2015 starting R3 using the HCG 2.0 plan.

April of 2015 was R1 with an almost 20# loss. Followed Dr Simeons plan eating occasional fruit and no Melba or Grissini. Did really well.

Aug 2015 was round 2 on Dr. Simeons protocol. This round frustrating and not great. Only about 8-10# loss with problem after problem of ups and downs. This round I ate both fruits everyday, cravings were higher and losses were low. P3 was frustrating with many steak days and in the last month started gaining it all back.

R3 to lose my final 25 lbs trying hcg2.0 and going for better stabilization. No fruit, more protein based on my BMR. Maintain ketosis.

Starting round 3 tomorrow!

I've decided to try hcg 2.0 for this round. I read the book and it seems to make sense. No fruit or Melba, grissini (to many carbs).
He has a formula for women and one for men to determine your BMR. That number is the calories in lean protein to eat per day. Mine is 542 and the hubs is 730
He allows mct oil 2-3T per day and a few other vegetables and you can mix. You are not allowed to eat more than 30g of carbs from your vegetables. This helps to get into ketosis and start in ketosis.

R2P3 - Defining

My off feeling is still lingering...think it may be a bug. I always get a taste in my mouth whenever I am getting the flu bug and I have been experiencing that taste for a few days now. My friend is feeling the same way...just off, tired/drained, and slight nausea. Not that I am happy that she is feeling that way but it sure makes me feel better knowing that it isn't from the HCG. Of course everyone else feels that the diet is causing it, that is so frustrating.

July 6th, 2015 Round 2 Loading

Today my hubby and I started this journey together. I am so proud of him for deciding this on his own. He needs to lose 50-60 lbs and I am sure that a lot of his own health issues will improve. He has had several surgeries and now has a huge hernia. The doctors don't think another surgery will fix the issue so losing weight is about the only option. I am hoping that he will stick with it, power through the rough days in the beginning.

P4 begins

I didn't eat much yesterday due to a migraine. Switched back to decaf coffee yesterday so that could be why my head hurts. I will also could out the HWC and see if that also helps lighten up the hot flashes. I do notice my weight creeping up when I over do the HWC. So I think a little is OK but 3 cups of coffee with it is too much.
After a few days off I will try half n half...maybe.

my last week on p3.

Actually I think this Thursday is my last day on p3 which means round 2 is around the corner. I've already ordered my supplies and they should be here in a couple of weeks at the most. I am excited to get started again, though I will miss the foods that I'm eating. I'm just anxious to get the rest of this weight off.

I'm really impressed that my weight seems to be holding right where it should be. Only 1 steak day so far.
