    Congratulations on your 1st grandbaby!!

    I can relate to the food orders - I went to an italian restaurant the other day and asked for grilled shrimp with no oil, just garlic and the chef came out to clarify. In the end he made some good shrimp without oil and I had it on top of lettuce. Going out has been the hardest. I avoid it as much as possible, but I'm single in my 30s so its tough. My order "modifications" have been working so far. My favorite was at a sushi restaurant, all I wanted was a side of sliced cucumbers. The waitress looked extremely confused, but they did it. My favorite dish out is at TGIFridays - shrimp key west is great and instead of broccoli jget cucumbers. Cucumbers and lettuce are my go to veggies. Glad to hear you're doing well. I've upped my protein a little bit and still losing. So far I love this diet!! Sorry to ramble so long, I don't really talk about this stuff with my roomies or family.     Hi, How's your journey going? I was good, but Sunday, I had some chinese food that was definitely NOT on the protocol. Paid for it this morning with a 1.4 gain. All I can do is go forward. I've been a little hungry and upping my protein intake a little bit. I've found preparation is key - I'm weakest when it's time to eat and I haven't made sure to have a lean protein and vegetable around.

    But it's Day 19 and I'm down 14 lbs. I want to lose at least 30 lbs this round, if not more. So I'm trying to plan better, and stay away from chinese food, which I have found is my trigger because both times I've cheated - it's been chinese food. Must be my asian roots rearing their ugly heads!

    Hope you're doing well - I'm half way through Phase 2 tomorrow. It's definitely getting a little more of a head game at this point. Would love to hear how you're doing!

    Hi mscorliss - I'm a newbie who started on 3/22. I'm on VLCD Day 10 and would love to be your buddy on this journey. I have a lot of weight to lose and I'm planning on doing at least 2 rounds. I haven't been losing at a fast rate, but I have myself to blame for a couple cheat days and not following the protocol exactly for a couple days. At Day 10, I'm down about 6 lbs. Had a few bumps in the road, but I'm getting used to the planning and mental challenges. Thank goodness the scale is starting to respond

  4. Thanks... Good luck to you too!!! I am from Central Arkansas. I actually got mine from the Dr. I am taking the drops. I am a little apprehensive about taking shots. I thought I'd give the drops a try. We will keep in touch. Its nice to have someone to compare and talk to.

    French Dressing recipe:
    I mix this in a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup so I can pour it later

    1 cup MCT oil
    3/4 -1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
    2 TBL ground thyme (not powdered...doesn't work)
    1/2 tsp basil
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp onion powder
    Lots of dry mustard...I used maybe 2 TBL..to taste
    1/4 tsp sea salt
    1/4 tsp white pepper (I prefer white pepper because it is milder)
    Wisk well
    Let sit for an hour and then strain if necessary into a jar or container

    This never made me stall and 2 TBL of dressing on a salad = 1 TBL of oil. I never had it twice a day, only once. I hate splenda and don't like lemon juice on salad, so this saved me. Just make sure it doesn't make you stall. MCT is available at Super Supplements.

    If you would like the recipe with MCT oil just message me back. It's not on protocol and makes some people stall. I have been able to use it sparingly.
