Started trying "The Plan" (book at lyngenet.com) 7-3-14 after Grammy mentioned it. This anti-inflammatory 20-day plan is letting me stabilize -- swapped it in for P4. Lost over 2 lbs. in first 3 days.

Thrifty-metabolism person here, able to gain on low-calorie diets and stall despite minimal calorie and carb intake. HCG offset the thriftiness so a 500-calorie diet allowed losses.

Right before HCG I was finally able to lose from about 194 to 184 via hour-long walks 5x a week and about 800-1000 calories a day.

Started HCG and lost from 184 to about 143. (Three rounds.) In diets both before HCG and on HCG, more intense exercise led to stalls despite no boost in caloric intake. After difficult P3 stabilization efforts and two more rounds after some regain to 160 or so I got down to 153 in round 5, stabilized OK in P3 with a few steak days and then had difficulty stabilizing in transition to P4. Seem to be stabilizing with "The Plan" now.

Regarding the book "The Plan" -- There does seem to be some design elegance and thoughtfulness put into the plan ... it's interesting ... rather than someone trying to sell an idea who then just comes up with recipes. ...

Hi - I'm starting this blog in case my P4 stabilization efforts with "The Plan" (which Grammy recently mentioned) are of any help. It's Lyn Genet's (lyngenet.com) book that goes through 20 days of clean eating to figure out which foods -- that you wouldn't necessarily think could -- actually trigger weight gain.
