I'm baaaaacccccckkkkkk!
It's been a while since I have done a serious hcg round. Time that was filled with large amounts of weight gain, cancer, and a hubby in a coma.
My husband became ill on our vacation with full blown influenza. I took him to the hospital, where the staff put him into a medically induced coma. A month later he was out of the coma, and had to do physical therapy. He is much better now, working and doing, but there are some lasting issues.
Just wanted to share with everyone my wonderful 9th anniversary with my husband!
Being on P2 really limits your choices at what you can and cannot have, usually the cannots being the largest group.
First, I used the day to do a short fasting (just until dinner). We went to the Batting Cages (my choice), then we did some shopping at some specialty stores (Trader Joe's and the like) and then we went to dinner at Pour Folks. I knew going in what I was going to have,
I am on R2 VLCD 60 (yes, I am going long, and no, I wouldn't recommend doing it this way). After a disappointing weight loss week, I took my measurements, and found that I am down another 4.5"! Yea! That's 30" since the start of R2.
Looking back on R1, I added up my losses and found that I am down a total of 74.5"! I am 69" tall, so I have lost my height plus more (with plenty more to lose!).
Never put all your faith in the scale. Measure
While cruising thru the forum, I noticed someone mentioned that there is no difference between one pound of fat and one pound of muscle. I would like to argue this.
There is a huge difference between fat and muscle. One pound of muscle is far better! Why? Muscle actually works for you. It burns calories, it makes you stronger, with it you can become more healthy. What does fat do? It sits there. If you don't make any attempt to get rid of it, it will just grow and get heavier.
I am on my third VLCD, and in cruise mode. This is the first morning I have felt hungry (like that's possible on a load day!), but nothing unreasonable. I have lost 5.8 lbs in the past 2 days (although I gained 4+lbs during load).
I was rereading my other blogs here, and am just amazed at how far I've come. I feel like I don't remember being 325lbs (actually I do, vividly, but it seems far away).
I began HCG in February of this year, and stayed VLC for 70 days (not recommended),
