There was a woman who trolled our forum a while back. The minute she started spouting off about how bad the hcg diet was, I knew she had an agenda to push her own diet. And that's what she's doing. I want you to read a friend's experience with her. Charlotte is very savvy about her health and is an experienced hcger. Here is what happened to her. If you're tempted to try this woman's protocol, you might want to think again.
Shaka, the violent king of the Zulu Nation once explained,
Unfortunately, some people struggle with stabilization. We’re not really sure why unless it’s because some fundamental hormonal issue isn’t fixed, probably insulin. A neurosurgeon, Dr. Kruse, has a leptin reset plan that has worked for many of us in fixing that stabilization problem. It restores leptin signaling which brings all the hormones back into alignment. Just so everyone can see what Dr.Jack had to say I went back and found the discussion:
Here's what I asked him:
Doc, this is a fabulous post! Could you clear up something? I do not believe in calories in/calories out. I watch my carbs but I do not count calories. And will not! LOL I could go on a rant about it. I’ve never seen you tell anyone to count calories while on the leptin reset yet you’ve said calories matter when you’re leptin resistant. What exactly do you mean
Okay, I need to warn you about cholesterol meds (statins, like Lipitor)...Hubby and I used to take those, and they had horrible side effects (one of those cases where the "cure" is worse than the disease!). Read about the dangers HERE...
I took both of us off of statins and asked my doctor to recommend something more "natural", and she said to try large doses of niacin. Now we take 1000mg (two 500mg) capsules in the morning and 1000mg with dinner, as well as Pantethine
I just made the most insanely rich chicken curry, like something you'd get at an indian restaurant:
6 sliced mushrooms
1/2 onion, sliced
1 chicken breast, sliced in strips
1/2 cup coconut milk
tumeric, cumin and curry powder to taste
finish with coconut oil to taste.
I just browned the top three ingredients in CO. Added the Coconut milk and spices and let it cook down to a HWC consistency (used Goya coconut milk that doesn't have thickener
