Hi Stevo, I'm about to start another round and was wondering if any of the old gang was still around. My last round was a disaster and I gained back all I lost on it so I'll be starting again. If you're still around let me know where you all are hanging out. Missed you guys.

You seem pretty knowledgeable on all the different Paleo/Primal/LR.... I know Paleo & Primal allow some starches like potatoes & sugars like agave nectar & honey which aren't really P3. However I am confused on almond flour/coconut flours etc... are those allowed on P3? Technically they are nuts/fruit flours... but for some reason I am having a brain fart.

I plan on doing the BAB but more Paleo/primal style. I am pretty active & do Crossfit so I know I will be hungrier than a regular LR person & want to eat/snack through the day.

I am SO dying for pumpkin muffins so if those flours are considered P3... I will have to eat my heart out when I do a PI in early November.

Great to hear things are going well. I have been concerned about you. I am getting ready to load this weekend for round 3. I am actually starting this round a bit early as I ended up cutting round 2 short a bit. So, I have been in p4 this week. I am about 4 lbs above LDW going into this loading period which I am not really happy about. But, here we go anyway!!!

Leptin Reset (Kruse)

Unfortunately, some people struggle with stabilization. We’re not really sure why unless it’s because some fundamental hormonal issue isn’t fixed, probably insulin. A neurosurgeon, Dr. Kruse, has a leptin reset plan that has worked for many of us in fixing that stabilization problem. It restores leptin signaling which brings all the hormones back into alignment. While this is NOT part of the HCG protocol, it’s

Doc, this is a fabulous post! Could you clear up something? I do not believe in calories in/calories out. I watch my carbs but I do not count calories. And will not! LOL I could go on a rant about it. I’ve never seen you tell anyone to count calories while on the leptin reset yet you’ve said calories matter when you’re leptin resistant. What exactly do you mean

I took both of us off of statins and asked my doctor to recommend something more "natural", and she said to try large doses of niacin. Now we take 1000mg (two 500mg) capsules in the morning and 1000mg with dinner, as well as Pantethine
