    Jaguar, if it's an ongoing journey, you have to kind work it the way it works best for you. One girl I know who has lost over 80 lbs. on hcg, does it in 10 lb increments. Then she eats p3 for a couple of weeks and loads a day or two, then back to p2. She really enjoys her loading days, eats things she loves those days, and gains. But loses the load weight each p2, along with a little extra. She feels it helps her body adjust to a large amount of weight loss in smaller measures. And she plans on doing that thru this year. Love that attitude. I liked cycling back to p2 for just 2 weeks, it was much more bearable than 30 days. lol.

    Jaguar, One quick note, you mentioned your hair falling out, I didn't have that problem. But I do take Biotin supplements, even on hcg. It's supposed to be good for hair. You take that? Just a suggestion. Catch ya later.

    Hi Honey, In Pounds and Inches, Dr. S. simply said, "Every item in the list (food list) is gone over carefully, continually stressing the point that no variations other than those listed may be introduced. All things not listed are forbidden, and the patient is assured that nothing permissable has been left out." We modern women, like to push the envelope, and tweak the protocol, and most of us do, and we lose some weight. I don't know how this will affect our resetting of our hypothalmus, and metabolism, that remains to be seen. If we want the best results, and want to lose the most we should probably go strictly by protocol. He was the authority on the protocol, on which foods combine for best results, weight loss wise, and probably for resetting our chemical imbalances. Unfortunately, most of us aren't that diligent. Maybe we can by with it, we'll see. I include myself in that latter category. My bad. Hope you do ok with this round.

    Hey sugar cookie princess, Looks like you're doing good. I'm on maintenance (still @ the same weight) until the 30th sooooooo I'm jealous of everyone on P2 and haven't been checking in much. I read your having some hair loss. Do you take omega-3 vitamins?

    Hi Jaguar, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Everything is going great. I decided to change things up a bit. I did p3 for 2 weeks, and decided to go back to p2 for two more weeks, treating that p3 as a planned interruption. (I don't blog about it because it's not strictly protocol and don't want to influence any newbies.) Over the 2 week period in p3, I never went over the 2 lb limit. Wanted to lose a few more lbs before my trip in April. This is my vlc day 9, and I've lost 8 more lbs. So I think it's been successful. And mentally it's fine because I'm only going to be doing it for the 13 days, plus my 3 very low cal. days off hcg. I tried pellets instead of drops this time, and much prefer the pellets. Much. You doing ok? Still cooking a lot or trying to keep it clean and simple? Always found your menus to be interesting. I've discovered Greek yogurt in p3 and found I love that! Yumm! Good luck on this round, keep in touch!

    eBay and amazon are currently withdrawing sale of hcg primarily based on a USAToday article from Jan 24 which contains a couple of lines from an FDA person. There has been no official stance taken by the FDA. eBay has said that they have no way to determine if weight loss claims or products bring offered are valid.

R2/P2 day: Endless

I have decided to come back and participate instead of hiding. In my solitude and isolation I have been a very, very bad girl. ,

I haven't gone more than 6lbs up or down since I started this over a month ago. Well, I have correct myself..I have lost 15lbs from when I started just at this point I keep going up and down by 6lbs.

I thought well..might as start documenting again and see how that goes for the next few months.

R2/P2..getting better.

So, after a few days time..I have finally started back down the scale. Only one slip up today and that was a minor popcorn incident. Problem being I was tired and hung-over and for some reason my protocol foods were just not helping my feeling of needing a bit more food. Also, I have been working alot lately and I think the increase in activity level caused a raise in needed glucose and fructose.

Restarted~ R2/P2

Well, everyone I have chosen to "restart" with this round. After a few days of just stuffing myself full of food that I should not be eating ANYWAYS. I revisited my goal list and wrote out WHY I wanted to lose this weight and gave myself the reasoning as to why I don't want to cheat and eat foods that are only there to feed my emotions.

Round 2 ~ my heads not in the game. :(

I am not focused. I am not focused on this round. I feel frustrated with that fact. I feel frustrated that I can't commit this minute to P2. I WANT to commit, I WANT to be focused. But, I am worried. I am worried about several things. I am worried that eating 500 calories a day is going to make my hair fall out. I am worried and wondering if this is healthy. I am wondering is this good for me, mentally?

R2 P2 VLCD 6 ~ Trying new food = zero losses

No losses today I have several reasons as to why:

1. I have lost about 15 lbs in 6 days
2. I tried shrimp for the first time in P2 in either round
3. I ate a can of tuna close to before bed
4. I ate under 500 calories and minimal fats

It could be from any of those reasons I am guessing that #1 is the most likely of the three and the other three are just supporting this pause in weight loss.
