How to Stop Novarel Injections: Transitioning
There is a process to safely and effectively starting and stopping Novarel . RX Novarel injections stays in your body for about 3 days. So as you continue to take it, each dose overlaps the surrounding doses.
That means you can’t just start or stop immediately. Novarel takes 3 days to build up to full strength, and 3 days for the Novarel leave your system. (2 days for homeopathic)
The protocol allows for a transition into P3 while continuing the very low calorie diet. It important not to ignore the transition time. While the Novarel is active in your body, you are very sensitive to gaining from fats.
So to transition away from Novarel , you need to continue the full 3 days (72 hours from your last dose) on the very low calorie diet. (Or 2 days (48 hours) if using homeopathic Novarel. This allows the Novarel levels to taper down before fats are introduced.
While it may seem a bit scary to continue to eat so little without dosing the Novarel each day, in reality, most people don’t experience any increase in hunger. There may be just a little hunger at the end of the transition period.
If this happens and you can’t ignore it, you can increase your calories with some extra lean protein. But do not start Phase 3 eating (fats, specifically) until the full transition time has passed. Once that has happened, your body is ready to handle a new influx of fat from your P3 menu.
Another kind of transitioning is when you are changing from RX Novarel shots to homeopathic, or vice versa. The way to do that successfully is to overlap the two types. If transitioning from RX, overlap your RX dose with the homeopathic dose for two days before dropping the RX.
If transitioning from homeopathic Novarel to RX, overlap one day. This allows for a smooth “hand-off” that keeps the fat-burning magic going.
