Jen’s Hcg Diet Journal – Week 3 Journey (Early Wrap up)
My results: As of my 3rd week, I am down just under 15 pounds, and over 6 inches from my waist. As you will read below, I had to wrap my round up early. I moved into Phase 3, although circumstances made this challenging. Despite this, I have managed to stabilize by using lipotropic shots and occasional appetite suppressants from Diet Doc while sticking as close to the phase 3 foods list as possible. I’m also doing yoga in the mornings and evenings. My next round will be with Hcg from Nu Image Medical.
Now, onto the details of all the surprises that led to me wrapping my round up early!
I am writing this post well after my week 3. In fact, I’ve actually lost count of which day I should be on. As a quick recap…. lost my adorable little Yorkie, Tiger. A few days later, we had an invitation for Father’s Day for a weekend in Mexico. Yay- road trip! Unfortunately, taking my hCG would have been complicated since there was no guarantee of a refrigerator where we would be staying, nor did I want to deal with any issues crossing the border. I opted to take a 3 day planned interruption, and carefully chose foods that were Phase 2 friendly, and occasionally dipped into the Phase 3 food list. I was exceeding the 500 calorie diet limit of course, but carefully monitoring portions. The weekend went great! Until we were headed home….
Sudden traffic had us come to a stop on the freeway… but the young lady behind us, didn’t see everyone else stop. She hit us going over 50 mph. Luckily my toddler was ok, but hubby and I both ended up with concussions and back injuries, and myself with a leg and hip injury. Taking the advice of everyone in my Hcg Diet forums (Thank you coach Leez!) I opted to continue with my planned interruption and see how I felt as I went through ER and doctor visits. If it wasn’t a bit scary, it would have been funny- I was confusing my first and last name, and correcting the poor insurance lady, insisting that my zip code was my phone number! haha
I really increased my healthy fats (as allowed in phase 3 eating guidelines) and set my phase 2 aside. I added my favorite avocado smoothies (you can find this on http://hcgdietinforecipes.com) back to my main food choices, along with salmon and other healthy fats to support my healing. My head is clear again, but my back and leg have unfortunately gotten significantly worse. I’m having entire nights where I get only a few hours of sleep; waking from shooting pains down my leg. I have started gentle restorative yoga and I am hopeful this will help my body stay on the healing track. I have noticed after adding yoga again, the pain has lessened at night, and I’m not quite as stiff as I was.
I also moved this week, to a new state…. I’m glad I’m one of those “go with the flow” kind of people because everything we had planned to keep the move “stress free” went out the window! haha. Hubby prefers plans that work so he wasn’t laughing, but come on- a mover cancels, another one decides he’s only doing half the job, our mail won’t forward, contracts require complete overhauls, family emergencies happen on moving day 1 and 3, the list goes on. I was actually pretty chill with all of it except…. “what do you mean you have to reschedule my internet installation for next week???” Ya, no wifi as scheduled. That’s a tough one for a blogger.
As of this am, I am happy to have internet once again. I don’t mind that I’m surrounded by boxes and have lost count of which day of my round I should be on. I have however, already purchased my HCG (from MyDietDoc.com once again. Read my Diet Doc review here.) for another round and have my supplies to begin again. I honestly don’t even know where my body fat scale is at this time!
My son is set to start at his new preschool next month, so that will be when I start my next round. I was off to a great start with this last round, so I’m excited to get going again. I’m also grateful for the testing I did in my last round because that will make things so much easier this time around.
