Supplements Can Support Exercise while Following the HCG Plan – Part 2
Here are a few other ideas for supplements and foodstuffs you can take on board which will help you whilst you are following the HCG Plan
Apple cider vinegar
The unique content of apple cider vinegar also appears to be beneficial during exercise. Not only does its acetic acid aid absorption of the nutrients that help to power your workout, it also aids with blood sugar control. More even blood sugars promote a sustained release of energy to help you as you exercise. However, it is also believed that cider vinegar may help to combat fatigue by aiding the clearance of waste products from the muscles.
The polyphenol content of green tea is far higher than that found in the black tea most people would drink. These powerful antioxidants help to protect our body cells, including those of the muscles, from damage by free radicals. Free radicals are produced in increased amounts during exercise, but a good intake of antioxidants can help to counteract their effects, so the next day you are less likely to develop sore muscles.
Although naturally found in green leafy vegetables and coconut oil on the plan, the supplement ensures your vitamin E needs are fully met. This is another potent antioxidant which has a specific role in protecting the membrane surrounding the body cells. By allowing the cell membrane to remain intact, this promotes muscle growth stimulated by activity, which in turn helps with toning and aids the metabolism.
