What Fat Looks Like: A Guide to Fat Mass
This is a quick, but hopefully motivating post I wanted to share for all the Hcg Dieters who wake up thinking, “Oh no, I only lost .5 pounds today!” or “I only lost 8 pounds this week!” I know it can seem daunting the scale stops showing those 1 to 2 pound loss days you had during the first week, but guess what…. even half of a pound of body fat is a LOT of weight my friends. The truth is, ANY amount of fat loss is great in general, but even moreso when you realize just how much mass is being shed. It is time to celebrate!
What body fat looks like according to weight.
Here, let me show you what you actually just lost so far, as a visual…

I hope these pics help put a visual to your weight loss. I know that on my last round with Hcg, I lost 26 pounds of body fat (I use a body fat scale so I know I am not losing muscle) and putting a visual to that amount of weight, was very eye-opening. Ok, so maybe it was more jaw-dropping than just eye-opening!
It is also important to understand the difference in mass between muscle and fat, so here is a photo that shows the difference in size, for the same weight of tissue in muscle and fat.
Let this put things into perspective the next time you step on a scale. That 1 pound loss is an accomplishment and deserves to be celebrated!
